$100 Target Giveaway

Hey gang! I’m so sorry for being MIA the last 24 hours but unfortunately it’s been a bit crazy. Last night, after an awesome speed work session on the treadmill, I came home and was immediately hit with a 12 hour stomach virus. I hear it’s going around and have already verified that we won’t have a surprise in 9 months, don’t worry! But, it made for a horrible evening and night. On top of all that, my biggest launch of the year is taking place this week at Macys!

002 So needless to say this week has been a bit crazy. But, in honor of lots of things, including becoming a Fitfluential Ambassador , reaching a new readership high and launching Dolce&Gabbana The One Sport, I figured it was time to give you guys a thank you gift!

Do you remember back in February, when I went to the fabulous Target event to check out their Spring preview?

011 012 Well, now, after breaking my C9 by Champion for Target gear in over the past few weeks, I get to give one lucky reader $100 worth of C9 by Champion for Target gear! I’m in love with the top and shorts especially, while the sports bra isn’t my favorite due to its very thin straps. Also, let’s get real. This outfit, including sports bra cost a total of $39! That means that the winner can get almost 3 running or workout outfits for $100! I love Lululemon but at the end of the day, this is a steal, especially for wicking material!

There are three lucky ways to enter:

1) Leave a comment with one question you’d like me to answer in an upcoming Friday Face Time OR a runner you’d like to see guest post in Marathons+Moderation.

2) Share this on giveaway on Twitter: “@healthyhappier is giving away a $100 worth of  C9 by Champion for Target workout gear http://alturl.com/ww2aq!”  Be sure to leave a comment, letting me know you shared it on Twitter!

This giveaway will end at midnight on Sunday, EST.

  5. Katie @ Talk Less, Say More March 2, 2012 / 3:17 am

Wow this is awesome! I’m not a new runner (I’m a few years in) but I’ve never done a race before. I was training for a 10k that I wasn’t able to finish due to severe health issues but now that I’m getting better, I want to get back into it and would love to run a 1/2 marathon by the end of the year. What’s your advice for a first time race runner? (No matter the distance..)

  6. Kristina March 2, 2012 / 3:17 am

    Friday FaceTime topic: race rituals?

  7. Lesley March 2, 2012 / 3:17 am

Amazing giveaway! a question I’d like addressed in friday face time is how you manage getting dressed for work (esp hair) and how it fits in with your daily workouts and sweat sessions. I always have the problem that I don’t want to work out in the morning because it doesn’t leave me enough time to style my hair before work!

How do you stay pumped about getting out and exercising. I think probably the hardest part is after the “honeymoon” stage of running.

  10. Charissa March 2, 2012 / 3:18 am

It’d be fun to see Peanut Butter Fingers interviewed…

Hi Ashley – I tweeted your giveaway!

  21. tracey March 2, 2012 / 3:38 am

I would like to know what you do for a living. Your job seems so interesting, filled with travel, etc., and maybe I missed it as I only recently started reading your blog, but besides now knowing that you work for Macy’s, I’m not sure exactly what you do.
And PS – props to you for sharing the perks you get from blogger events/swag bags with your readers – shows a lot about your character and appreciation for your readers. So thank you!

  22. Michelle C March 2, 2012 / 3:38 am

I’d love to see a Friday face time about your morning routine. How you fit exercise in without getting more stressed. Or maybe a what’s in your gym bag?

  23. mindy @ just a one girl revolution. March 2, 2012 / 3:38 am

I’d love to see Kara Gou…oh wait. That’s not realistic. Has Emily at Sweat Once a Day done a post in the series yet?

  24. Kelly March 2, 2012 / 3:38 am

    Wow, what a great giveaway!

Since NYRR is opening the Mini 10K registration tomorrow, I just read your recap from the 2011 race. I was just wondering (regarding that race specifically and any other women only-races) what your take on women-only races is. I’ve never run one and am afraid I will completely lose my tough “whatever, it’s just another race” exterior and start sobbing if any other woman offers me any small gesture of encouragement or shouts something like “this one’s for Grete!” Do you have a preference for mixed-gender or women-only races, or do you just like them both for different reasons and scenarios?

  25. Hannah March 2, 2012 / 3:47 am

100 comments so far? I don’t like these odds. But I like your running advice, so I’m going to post anyways.

My question for you: When the Central Park water fountains are closed for the season, how do you hydrate on long runs? I have a running belt but hate it, and not just because I look like a tourist with a fanny pack. Is there a better solution?

  96. Erin March 2, 2012 / 4:44 pm

  101. Trotting Tortoise March 2, 2012 / 5:42 pm

I loooooooove Tarjay. So much so that when recently playing a couples “how well do you know your significant other” game my boyfriend guessed (correctly) that my answer to “where would your love shop if they could only shop at one place for the rest of their life?” was Target.

I’m new to your blog (referred by your friend Maya, whom I met while hiking this weekend!) so apologies if you’ve already answered this, but:

What are your go-to menu items at popular places (or generic dishes served at many restaurants) when you’re on the road for work? I travel 4-5 days a week and eating healthy can be such a challenge! I get bored getting the same Oatmeal at Cosi every morning, so please share your fave pics!

  102. Rachel March 2, 2012 / 5:45 pm

I’d love to hear more about typical workouts from your trainer!

  103. Katherine @ Neon Blonde Runner March 2, 2012 / 5:46 pm

  108. Meaghan March 2, 2012 / 6:39 pm

Awesome giveaway! I would love for you to feature Monica from Run, Eat, Repeat on Marathons & Moderations.

I would love to know how you deal with plateaus in your weight loss and if you ever get frustrated that with all the working out you do you still have to be so mindful of what you eat!

  111. Meg March 2, 2012 / 7:11 pm

I think a fun face time would be “NYC Running for Visitors” – you could talk more in depth about fun routes, how to get there, and how not to get lost in Central Park. I use your blog for restaurant recommendations, but I’d love to have an easy resource for planning out NYC running routes when I’m visiting the city!

  112. Lindsay March 2, 2012 / 7:21 pm

My Friday Facetime question is what is your favorite race distance to run, and what have you run the most of?

  113. Keeley March 2, 2012 / 7:22 pm

So excited about this giveaway. I would love it if you featured a San Francisco runner on your Marathons & Moderations section. I always love finding bloggers who live in the same city as me 🙂

I love to see you post on your skin care routine or how and what you use to style your hair!

  115. Amanda C. March 2, 2012 / 8:09 pm

I’d love to see an interview with Ali from Aliontherun.

  116. Katie Cummings March 2, 2012 / 8:15 pm
