We are so thrilled and feel so blessed that 2017 will be the year that we become a family of three. Baby Girl Diamond is expected to arrive in June. Many thanks to all our family and friends for your love and support over the years.  The first ten weeks were filled with exhaustion and some nausea, but luckily the past two weeks have brought a return in energy and pregnancy glow.

While this will not become a blog that revolves around all things pregnancy, there is a lot of explaining to do and details to share over the next few weeks. I will do my best to limit pregnancy talk to 1-2 posts per week and ensure that the title makes it clear.

If you have any questions or things you’d like me to address about the first twelve weeks of pregnancy or our journey, leave me a comment!

Congratulations! Talk about your baby every day, it’s a wonderful journey! I got pregnant at 39! Free advice (which you will get plenty of lol) get all toxic cleaning products out of your home and do not use J&J baby products! That helps More than you will ever know. I use Melaleuca products since the day I Know I Was Pregnant. I’ve been a happy customer for 8 years! If you would like to know more information just let me know! Look them up on the internet. truly an amazing company. I tell all the expectant moms I know. This is my email: Wellnessfromhome2day@gmail.com. Congrats again!!!

Congratulations & love the gorgeous pics!! I’m also due in June and would love to hear your perspective on self care during pregnancy. I know I’ve eaten more crackers and missed more exercise classes in the last 13 weeks which has been hard. It’s a lot of (very positive) change to manage and takes energy to take care of oneself

    • ashleyd December 5, 2016 / 1:54 pm

Congratulations Molly! I will definitely talk about this though I’ve been lucky in that I’ve actually craved FRUIT more than anything else. I feel you regarding workout classes. That is one of the reasons that I decided to put ClassPass on hold after December – more to come.

My MIL — who is an OB/GYN — says whatever gets you through first trimester, do it. You get a free pass for everything. Then once you are feeling better you can make more mindful decisions 🙂

      Thank you!

Such great news! No need to limit your pregnancy posts- it’s such an exciting time!!! I felt the same way last year when I was pregnant with my first, but I’m so happy I wrote about the entire journey because it’s nice to look back on. Enjoy it!

    • ashleyd December 5, 2016 / 1:43 pm

Thank you Katie. I believe everyone has a different opinion on this topic but I will do my best to find a healthy balance.

I would be interested to hear about your journey to pregnancy. I’m about 2 years in to mine–2 surgeries, all the tests, etc etc. Would be nice to have some hope.

    • Kat December 10, 2016 / 1:41 pm

It took us two years to conceive our second child, after a year and a half of doctor’s appointments and tests and trying different things at home and then finally an IUI… It’s a very difficult journey. There is certainly hope, even when you feel there is none. What do the doctors say is “wrong”? Are you going to try fertility treatments? Good luck!!!

  17. Lindsay December 5, 2016 / 2:35 pm

Congrats!! We just welcomed our miracle baby girl into the world in October. I hope you have a healthy and happy pregnancy and feel the amazing joy of bringing a beautiful girl into the world Look forward to hearing all about your journey.

CONGRATS!!! We are expecting in late April/early May and just shared the news broadly last week after sharing with family at Thanksgiving. Doesn’t it feel good to not have a big secret?!!

I’ve been waiting for any bloggers I read to be along the journey at a similar time as me (so far have been reading others’ archives). Really looking forward to following along with you. I’d also love to know what other bloggers you may be turning to for advice and other resources. Best wishes to you and Bo during this special time!!

Huge congrats to you and your hubby Ashley! I’m so excited for you. I’ll be 36 weeks pregnant this weekend and can’t believe I’m in the home stretch. You will love the second trimester, which almost feels like you are completely yourself … less fatigue, more energy, rare sickness, etc. I’m starting to feel tired and sluggish again at this point, and exercise is getting harder and harder although I’m keeping as active as I can. Looking forward to following your journey. xoxo
