September Playlist

As promised, here is part one of the Marathon Playlist I’ve put together on Spotify over the past few days. This mix of 10 tunes helped push me through tonight’s 3.5 mile run which was 10x harder than yesterday’s speed workout. After spending my vacation day working on the flat and running errands with my parents, I was beyond exhausted at 8pm when I left the house for the run.

But, by the time Still D.R.E  came on I was ready for a final sprint up the hill.

What I Wore Wednesday: Fall Running

Each Wednesday, I’ll start sharing with you either a glance inside my closet. This week, I thought it’d be fun to share some of the items that I’ll be wearing this Fall as I run in Geneva, London, Brussels, Paris, and New York City!

My mom was kind enough to help me move my Spring and Summer clothes into storage this weekend. Unlike New York City, I do not have a lovely walk in closet in Geneva. Instead, my small four foot closet is bursting at the seams and each dresser drawer is overflowing with running clothes. But, in anticipation of Switzerland’s winter running and skiing weather, I had a bit of a shopping spree today. Luckily our friends and family in New York are amazing, letting us ship things to their homes so we can bring them back in checked luggage.

These are a few of the things that found their way into my online shopping cart today from across the internet. While the New Balance shorts are clearly more of a Summer item I couldn’t help but share them, especially since they are on sale right now! If you’re in colder temperatures just pair them with compression socks and the Oiselle Lux top!

Last but not least, if you are on Spotify, follow my Marathon Playlist! It’s a fun mix of upbeat music ranging from today’s Top 40 songs to some 90s hits! The below is only a sampling but I’ll share the rest of the playlist in a few posts over the next few weeks! It’s a HUGE playlist and continues to grow daily as I star songs on the radio!

Say It, Do It Week of 3/4

Wonders never ceased. In the past 5 days I’ve practiced yoga 3 times at Laughing Lotus. I can’t decide whether it’s the unlimited pass that has made me want to fit more classes in or just the positive energy I feel both inside and out after class. Regardless, my hips and legs are feeling looser each class which will hopefully help in the half marathon less than 2 weeks from now.

This week’s training plan is fun because it includes lots of workouts with friends! In fact, every single workout on here is with a friend or Bo! That is definitely a good way to keep myself accountable to achieve my goals. If I know I have someone waiting for me, just like Theodora was today at yoga, I’m far less likely to bail.

A few of us are meeting Sunday morning for a spin class at Revolve so feel free to join us before the class fills! It should be a fun dance party and a good way to shake out some tightness in my legs.

Until tomorrow, when I get to share an awesome Goofy Challenge Marathons+Moderation story with y’all check out the songs that are keeping me pumped through my runs and commute this week!
